A deep clean of windows and doors removes more than an ordinary wash. Water and shampoo take away the visible dirt, but an invisible film of air pollution, soot and finger grease often stays on the paintwork.
On top of that, the paintwork takes a beating from dust, acid rain and sunlight: it turns matt and starts to chalk, with a dull white layer that penetrates ever deeper. Novatio therefore recommends a deep clean twice a year in addition to routine maintenance.

How to tackle a deep clean
- Do not work in full sun or on a warm surface.
- First remove dust and visible dirt with FA Clean and a microfibre cloth. That way, you won't rub grains of sand across the paintwork and you'll avoid scratches.
- Treat spots of resin, tar, sealant or adhesive with Safety Clean and wipe them off with an absorbent cloth.
- Go over everything with Multifoam. The foam removes finger grease, micro-contamination and the last traces of solvent.
- If the paintwork looks faded or dull, use Surface Renewer: apply it with a soft, dry sponge and wipe off the excess with a soft, clean cloth.
If a mark remains anywhere, dampen a Clean Gum Soft and use it together with the cleaner.
Who is the box for?
For owners of aluminium and PVC windows who want to give their windows and doors thorough care themselves, and for specialists who clean windows, doors and gates after installation or during a maintenance visit. Anodised aluminium needs pre-treatment: first clean it completely and carefully with Safety Clean, which removes residues from the anodising process, and only then with Multifoam. Safety
Safety Clean and Multifoam are extremely flammable aerosols in pressurised containers that may burst if heated (H222, H229): keep them away from heat and open flames, and do not expose them to temperatures exceeding 50 °C. Safety Clean may also cause drowsiness or dizziness (H336). Surface Renewer is a flammable liquid and vapour, and may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways (H226, H304). FA Clean causes serious eye irritation (H319). Work in a well-ventilated area and wear gloves and safety glasses.
