The Huawei SUN2000-6KTL-M1 delivers 6 kW over three phases and is designed for homes with a 400 V supply and a neutral conductor. From this model upwards, the M1 series reaches a maximum efficiency of 98.6%. A home battery and backup power can be added.
For a medium-sized roof
Huawei recommends a maximum of 9,000 Wp of panels: as a guide, about twenty panels of 430 Wp across two strings. Its rated output is 6,000 W, with up to 6,600 VA and 10.1 A per phase. It delivers full power at string voltages between 235 and 850 V.
What you get
- LUNA2000 battery (S0 or S1): charging up to 10,000 W, discharging up to 6,600 W.
- A backup circuit of up to 3,300 VA via the Backup Box-B1.
- Two MPPTs of 13.5 A (the High Current version, for today's large panels) and a DC voltage of up to 1,100 V.
- Type II surge protection on the DC and AC sides, plus arc fault protection.
Where can you install it?
It can be installed indoors or outdoors, as the enclosure is rated IP65. Outdoors, it should be kept at least 500 metres from the coast, because salt damages the inverter. It operates between –25 and +60 °C.
Installation
A qualified installer makes the connection, arranges the inspection required under AREI (the Belgian electrical installation regulations) and registers the installation with the grid operator. Huawei recommends a 16 A three-phase circuit breaker. The inverter expects 230/400 V with a neutral: a 3 × 230 V grid needs a different solution. Monitoring in the FusionSolar app works via a Smart Dongle.
